Wmo (Social Support Act)
The Social Support Act (Wmo) supports people in living as independently as possible and participating in society. Municipalities are responsible for the implementation of the Wmo. Support is granted based on a municipal indication.

What is sheltered living?
Sheltered living is Wmo support for adults (18+) who cannot live independently and need a safe living environment with guidance nearby. The guidance is aimed at stability, structure, and increasing independence.
Sheltered living & Protected home – MVS
Vitraa is contracted for sheltered living and protected living at home based on a municipal indication within the MVS region (Maassluis, Vlaardingen and Schiedam).
What is protected living at home?
Protected living at home is Wmo support for adults (18+) who live independently but need intensive guidance to sustain this. The guidance takes place in the home situation and is aimed at preventing relapse and maintaining independence.
Sheltered living & Protected home – MVS
Vitraa is contracted for sheltered living and protected living at home based on a municipal indication within the MVS region (Maassluis, Vlaardingen and Schiedam).
What is ambulatory guidance (individual guidance)?
Ambulatory guidance, also known as individual guidance, is Wmo support for adults (18+) who need support with daily functioning while living independently.
Ambulatory guidance (individual guidance) – Voorne aan Zee
In addition, Vitraa offers ambulatory guidance (individual guidance) to adults (18+) within the municipality of Voorne aan Zee (including: Brielle, Hellevoetsluis and Westvoorne).
Ambulatory guidance focuses on, among other things:
- providing structure in daily life
- dealing with finances and administration
- social skills and network
- daytime activities, work or education
- increasing self-reliance
